Alzheimer’s Disease is a degenerative and terminal disease for which there is no known cure - and ALBERT has it. He's in the later stages when all human behaviour becomes automatic, and the use of language has been lost altogether.

 

Occasionally patients receive and return emotional signals long after the loss of verbal language and Albert’s story builds towards one such moment.

Smile - short film - 9 minutes


When Craig’s physical abuse starts to shift from his wife to his 7 year old daughter, he is so consumed by guilt that he starts to hallucinate his own personal demons. Powerless to shake them off, he becomes trapped high on a motorway bridge with only one escape route remaining.


This film was completed in Dec 2015 and is currently unavailable for online viewing while it completes the festival circuit.
